mini implant vs standard 2 Years, 11 Months ago
I has two caps put on tooth #12 and #13 1 year ago last October. Almost immediately after the caps were placed I started having pain in tooth #12. I went to see the dentist who told me the cap might be "high". He ground it down some more. The pain continued and I had to see a endodontist who drilled through the cap and did a root canal. I paid over $2600 for the work. A litle over 1 year later the cap broke off taking part of the tooth with it. Number 13 is still there and doing OK although I had one Dentist tell me that it is a "short Prep". I currently have just the stub of the tooth of #12. It is in my smile and driving me crazy. I had a flipper made, but am uncomfortable with it. I recently found a dentist who does mini implants here in Lexington, KY. My current dentist who will not be taking my insurance after 3/1 only does regular implants and knows little about the mini implants. I am terribly confused about what is my best choice. Money is a factor, although if I am very uncomfortable with the Mini _base_d on information I receive I very well may get a regular implant. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Rebecca,
I can totally understand your frustration and confusion between a standard implant and a mini.

In short they both will work....I know that is not enough to make you comfortable so I will suggest you see someone in your area that Dr. Shatkin can refer you to for a consultation.

I do know of an excellent mini implant dentist in Louisville KY....Larry Stroud. If you meet him I feel certain that Dr. Stroud will make you feel comfortable with the decision to have a mini implant placed if necessary.

Best of luck,

Dental implant procedure is the term used to describe the entire process you go through from the time you walk into the dentist's clinic for the first time, when getting your dental implants, till the last time you walk out of there with your new beautiful smile. The duration of the whole dental implant procedure varies from patient to patient and depends, among other things, on the patient's physical condition and anatomy. It can take three to nine months and sometimes even longer! Yet most of that time is spent on the healing of the tissue and waiting for the growth of new bone in your jaw.

They are air pollution, Buy Runescape Gold water pollution, waste pollution and noise pollution. But what can we do to solve the pollution? I think, firstly, RS Gold we can make cars that don’t pollute the environment. We can ask companies to use modern clean technology. In some big cities, Runescape Gold we can limit the number of cars.
